Mary Arklander

On June 23, 1959 I was born in the Kootenai Hospital in Coeur d 'Alene. I'm the 9th of 10 children, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. My school years include Canyon and Pinehurst Elementary, Kellogg Jr. High, Kellogg High School, and 3 years at North Idaho College.

I've been blessed with one daughter, Laura, and 3 grandchildren, Dwayne, Rikki, Donavin, and one great grandchild, Jackson. My family is the joy of my life.

Throughout my life years I've worked a variety of jobs. The Forest Service, Groundskeeper, CNA, House Painter, Motels, and a Reporter for the Shoshone News Press. While working some of these jobs my back and left knee were injured and I and required 6 surgeries. So I was disabled for several years and unable to work. I'm happy to be working here at KMS for 2 plus years. I work with, and for the most awesome people.

Gardening is one of my most favorite things to do on my time off along with fishing, camping, hunting, picking huckleberries and mushrooms. I haven't traveled too much but enjoyed my visits to Washington DC, Alberta Canada, and San Diego.

Basically I'm just your typical Idaho native.
