Dear KMS Families,
We are writing to inform you of a recent situation involving a report of a student making a statement that could have been perceived as a potential threat. Please know that the administration at Kellogg Middle School takes all reports of this nature seriously and has followed established threat assessment procedures, which included the involvement of local law enforcement.
While we are prohibited from commenting on specific student discipline matters, we want to assure you that there is no credible threat to the safety of our students or staff at KMS. The safety and well-being of our school community is our highest priority, and we remain committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for everyone.
We encourage families to talk with their children about the importance of “See Something, Say Something.” Reporting concerns promptly helps us to respond effectively and maintain a safe school environment.
