Kellogg Middle School students recently put their passion for the planet into action, celebrating Earth Day with hands-on initiatives right in their own backyard. Demonstrating teamwork and environmental stewardship, students across all house teams dedicated their efforts to revitalizing the school's garden beds.
With enthusiasm and determination, students worked together to clear old growth, prepare the soil, and learn about the vital role these gardens will play in future science lessons and potentially even providing fresh produce for the school community. This immersive experience offered a tangible connection to environmental science, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and the interconnectedness of living systems.
Beyond the garden beds, KMS students also took part in a comprehensive spring cleanup around the school grounds. Armed with gloves and bags, they diligently collected litter, contributing to a cleaner and more beautiful environment for everyone. This collective effort instilled a sense of responsibility and pride in their school and its surroundings.
These impactful Earth Day activities showcase the dedication of Kellogg Middle School students to making a positive difference, starting within their own community. The hands-on learning experiences not only fostered environmental awareness but also strengthened teamwork and a sense of collective responsibility.
The KMS community is incredibly proud of the students' hard work and commitment to creating a more sustainable future.
